Unapproved Board Meeting Minutes
April 5, 2010
Present: Bev Reidenbach, Ava Meyer, Jenny Minnich, Angie Palmer, Paul Row, Tom Bush Jr, Lois Ternet, Tom Bush Sr, Larry Oberley, Linda Stephenson, Shawn Norris
Meeting called to order by Bev.
Shawn read the minutes from the March 1st meeting which was a Breakfast Meeting held at the White Dove Café.
Treasurers Report submitted by Ava
Ava reported that the current membership count for 2010 is 58 members. This includes business and individual memberships.
Bev reported that the Easter Egg Hunt held on April 3rd was a success. Approximately 75 kids attended the event at the park.
Larry Oberly gave an update on the Car Show to be held April 24th…
Flyers are being distributed
Flyers will be inserted in the Monroeville News the week of the show
American Legion will be holding a dedication ceremony at 1pm for their new flag pole
Live Entertainment – The G-Men will perform near the sign-in table from 11am-Noon.
Larry is checking into Motorcycle Stunt Riders performing during the show
Countryside Printing has received the order for cozies, dash plaque’s, etc.
Various games for adults were discussed such as spark plug toss, fan belt toss, hula hoop contest, etc.
Bev gave a re-cap of the EACS meeting and the current status of Monroeville Elementary School
Ava received thank-you cards from the Village of Heritage for recent donations
Shawn discussed updating the “Shop Monroeville” flyers that are printed yearly. Cost is about the same as last year. Tom Bush Sr made motion to approve, second by Paul Row. Business owners will again be charged $15.00 per ad, and the Chamber will make up the difference.
Ava discussed items related to the upcoming Harvest Festival to be held in August 2010…
Contract has been signed with ride company
Jenny Minnich is in charge of the merchants tent
Lois Ternet will handle the parade arrangements
Linda Stephenson will schedule volunteers for various duties
Bev Reidenbach will take care of the entertainment tent
Don Gerardot will oversee the arena events
Ava Meyer will handle the food court vendors and oversee the queen contest
Kent Castleman will be in charge of publicity
