WANDA P. (NEADSTINE) FUGATE

WANDA P. (NEADSTINE) FUGATE, 100, of Monroeville passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, 10:32 a.m., at Woodcrest Nursing Center. She was a Monroe ville area resident for over 60 years. She was born on Sept. 28, 1910, in Dixon, Ohio. She married Howard J. Fugate on July 10, 1937, in Monroeville; he passed away on March 16, 1994. She was a member of Monroeville United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer of the Women's Society of Christian Services for 20 years. She was a former member and treasurer of the Eastern Star Chapter 205, in Monroeville; a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 576 Trinity Chapter, in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed crocheting afghans. She was a homemaker and operated Fugate's IGA store in Dixon, Ohio from 1937 to 1948. Surviving are her great-niece, Darlene Ricci of Fort Wayne; great-great-niece, Kristie Muench of Fort Wayne; and nephew, Byron Plumley of Denver, Colo. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ilo Plumley, in 1981. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. The Rev. GERALDINE M. BUUCK

GERALDINE M. BUUCK, 86, of Hoagland, died on Thursday, April 14, 2011, 12:55 p.m., at Adams Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her son, Kenneth W. Buuck of Hoagland; daughter, Colleen K. Fuhrmann of Decatur; two grandchildren, Michelle Fuhrmann and Kelly Goble; and two great-granddaughters, Khloe Goble and Bailey Goble. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Erwin Gallmeyer and Wilbert "Whip" Gallmeyer; and son-in-law, Ronald Fuhrmann. Service is 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 1 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. CHARLES L. "CHAZ" DERICKSON Jr.

CHARLES L. "CHAZ" DERICKSON JR., 22, of Monroeville, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 6:30 a.m., caused by injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Monroeville Road. Born June 30, 1988, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Charles L. "Chuck" Derickson Sr. and Tina M. Evans. "A beloved son, he will be remembered as an ambitious, good hearted, full of life young man, an awesome brother to Brock and Seth, a delight to his whole family. His family's hearts are greatly saddened by his loss, but full of pride for the son he was to them." He was a graduate of Heritage High School class of 2007 where he participated in track and football. He attended Ivy Tech for two years and worked at Omni Source for the past year, where he operated a forklift. He also worked at Mel's Deli, Monroville. Also surviving are his brothers, Brock and Seth Derickson, both of Monroeville; maternal grandmother, Arlene Burleson of Fort Wayne; girlfriend, Brittney Kimmel of Fort Wayne; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, with calling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dave Taylor officiating. MARY C. JACQUAY

MARY C. JACQUAY, 95, of Monroeville, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, 1 p.m., at Saint Anne Retirement & Nursing Center. Born Jan. 16, 1916 in Mon-roeville, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Christina W. (Linder) Schall. She married Norbert J. Jacquay on Oct. 14, 1939 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, he preceded her in death on July 1, 2000. She was a homemaker and she worked for the United States Post Office for 10 years, retiring in 1956. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and their Rosary Society. Surviving are daughter, Mary Ann (John) Brand of Fort Wayne; brothers, Henry "Jack" Schall and Theodore "Ted" Schall both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Agnes (Don) Dawson of Monroeville and Sister Celestine Schall of Milwaukee, Wisc.; and four grandchildren, Katie, Stacy, Nick and Jason. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Joe, Paul, Tony and Leo Schall; sisters, Theresa Lerch, Dolores Kleber and Helen Schall. Prayer service is 10:35 a.m. Saturday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville.
